  • Riina; Great that you wanted to sit-down with us. Tell us a little bit about yourself.

    I am a Swede, turned Norwegian after 36 years in this country. I love to travel and so does my husband, luckily. I grew a love for travelling at an early age when I lived in India for 3 years as a child, and my father took us all over the country. A recent count of countries I have visited ended up in 65, all over the world. Our favourite destination now is South America. Just a month before the pandemic shut-down, we were lucky enough to visit Machu Pichu. So that’s me – I love to travel!

  • At your office you have a signed framed picture of Chuck Norris. You didn’t mention this in our first question, however we are obviously very curious about this. Please explain.

    Most of my career I have worked in the movie business, with video distribution. I was 10 years at Warner Bros. and then a couple of other distributors. It was a blast being part of the Harry Potter and Matrix universes – Fantastic experience. But when I first started in the business, one of my first assignments was to arrange a visit for Chuck Norris to meet 600 “video-dealers” in Stockholm. He was a very nice person who endured hours of signing posters for a big and exited crowd. It is also the only time I have had to close down a gym completely- because Chuck wanted to work out alone for 3 hours. So that’s me and Chuck….

  • Give us some insight in your role at Skytech Control and a normal day for you at the office.

    I started in Skytech Control, or TCM as it was called previously, almost 5 years ago. I was employee number four in the company. Now the company has grown to over 30 employees, and still hiring, and growing internationally. Exciting times! I have worked in Operations from the start, and when the organization was re-structured last year, I took the lead role in implementation of new customers. As a former Production Manager, I am happy to be able to use my skills in project management to guide new customers from sales to day-to-day operations.

  • Talking about customers and this questions was also raised to our CEO previously. Illustrate a classic Skytech Control customer and why you think they want to use our SaaS CONTROL platform.

    Many of the customers have used other systems for cost control, however they find our Control platform and associated products and solutions to be a more efficient, complete and easy to use. Our SaaS platform and tool-box provide cost control, on-/off-boarding, acquisitions and asset management to our customers and partners. Now we are also scaling into the Nordics and the UK market with our cross border partners – which is very exciting!

  • Skytech Control is a new company with many new people and an ambitious strategy to grow internationally. Why do you think we will succeed?

    We are already a well oiled, flexible and effective organization with positive people that want to pull in the same direction. We believe in the concept 100% and stay close to the customer. I have always worked internationally and I’m looking forward to the international business.

  • Lunch with office-made salads, Friday hotdogs and waffle-Wednesdays. Quiz and different competitions. Tell us a little bit about the people and culture in the company.

    The company consists of people of all ages and a lot of them have a competitive mind. We all take responsibility to make the office environment a fun and inspiring and great place to work. It does something to the work environment when Espen shows up to make scrambled eggs and “cheap-shrimps and fish pudding- salads”, Bodil makes her lovely spicy Tuna-salads or when Henriette decides to share her famous and traditional waffles!
